Totals verified to the penny
Totals are verified to the penny — closing balance for bank statements, new balance for credit card statements, invoice total for invoices, receipt total for receipts. Any variance ≥ $0.01 is flagged with the exact amount. No silent rounding.
Two independent checks
Confidence score tells you how reliably we read each field. Balance flag tells you whether the document's own totals add up. They're independent — a variance in the original document never lowers the confidence score.
